I am a self-taught artist who discovered my itch to create after moving to Virginia in the early 80s and the birth of my daughter. Since I hardly knew anyone and was a stay-at-home mom, I decided to take a six-week tole-painting class for a little adult interaction. As an avid runner, I began designing and producing whimsical folk art figures as awards for Yorktown’s Fourth of July Freedom Run and other local road races in the early 90s.
